Get Instant WordPress Phone Support

Sadly there aren’t a lot of companies that offer phone support nowadays, but if your hosting company is WordPress.com or GoDaddy then you’re in luck! They both offer 24/7 phone support. If this is not the case and you have your site hosted elsewhere, then do not fear, live chat is here. WP Buffs offer a 24/7 live chat & email support through their website.

WordPress companies are competing on a global market now. That makes phone support very pricey, when you need to support multiple languages and countries. Because of this, chat & email support makes more sense. Use the button in the start of the article to visit WP Buffs and get instant help with your current issues. Here is WP Buffs own explanation:

We’ve set up our pricing structure to stay pretty lean and with our global team, it just makes more sense to handle all our support through email and livechat. While we don’t offer phone support, we’ve made customer service a huge priority here at WP Buffs and you’ll find both our email and livechat support fast, effective and friendly!

Live Chat Support

Live chat support has become common, it’s the easiest and cheapest way to assist multiple people all over the world at once. Companies don’t need a phone number for each country they’re supporting, or expensive phone bills. It results in more active supporters so you can get help faster. It’s a win/win.

WP Buffs is famous for their high quality chat support – they are very kind and patient. The first thing you’ll probably notice is how down to earth they are, it might sound like an exaggeration, but it’s not. If you have ever talked to Stripe’s customer support, then you’ll know what I mean.

Get Help with Theme Changes & Updates

If you have an emergency, let’s say if your site is down or you have been hacked, then it’s easy to get help. Hacking is not a new issue, people have had their websites hacked since the beginning of the internet. Get Help with Plugin Changes & Updates

Updating plugins on a simple blog website usually doesn’t cause any trouble, at least not if you’re updating plugins from large software companies such as Automaticc or Yoast, but that’s not always the case. If you’re using plugins from indie developers or simply just using a lot of plugins that need to work together, then it can cause issues in many cases when updating. When we help our customers, we often experience that they use multiple plugins together, sometimes more than 50. Making that many plugins behave together nicely can be troublesome.

If you’re a photographer, writer or run a business, then it most likely won’t make sense for you to take care of plugin updates. After updating them you’ll need to manually check that everything still works together and that can take hours.

If you’re a WP Buff subscriber then they’ll update your plugins and themes for you weekly. After updating them they’ll check that everything still works manually, so there is no negative surprises. They even do it on weekends, where most websites receive less traffic.

The Technical WordPress Support Company

If you’re serious about your website, then you’ll need technical support sooner or later unless you’re a developer yourself. You might want to do some visual changes to your website or if you simply want your website to load faster. In that case you have two options, either you find a freelance developer who can do it for you through a platform such as oDesk or Fiverr.

Alternatively you can hire a maintenance & service company such as WP Buffs to take care of those issues for you. They offer 24/7 live support, website edits, page speed optimization and much more.

Technical help for WordPress issues

WordPress Help For Beginners

Getting started with WordPress is tough, even if you have experience with other content management systems such as Wix or Joomla. It’s a general issue with most software – it takes some time to learn the basics. There are a lot of options when it comes to that, you can buy an online course in WordPress, watch YouTube videos etc.

Depending on the type of issues you’re having:
If its maintenance then we recommend that you purchase a subscription service from someone who takes care of that for you, for example WP Buff.

If your issue is setting up articles, blog posts etc. then it’s something else you need; Experience. The most important part when it comes to learning how to use WordPress is to not give up.

Get Help With WordPress Code Changes

You have three options when it comes to getting help with WordPress code changes. If it’s a theme or plugin you need help with, then you can contact the developer/company that created it. In most cases that requires you to pay for support or upgrade to a premium version of the theme or plugin.

The second option is for you to start a partnership with a developer team such as WP Buffs. Alternatively you can find a developer through oDesk or another freelancer platform.

The last option is to seek help from online forums such as WordPress.org support forum, Stackoverflow or other online forums.

How To Contact the WordPress Support

You can contact the WordPress.com support 24/7 if your website is hosted by them. However WordPress.com offers one of the most pricey hosting plans on the market, because, well because they can. While every WordPress installation is the same, it’s them who created it originally.

WordPress.com is owned by Matt Mullenweg who founded Automaticc many years ago & created the WordPress CMS. Being the lead on the open-source project gave them a headstart on building a business through it.

However we cannot recommend that you have your website hosted through WordPress.com since it’s very locked. You cannot use themes/plugins from websites such as Themeforest, CodeCanyon etc. you can only use software developed by Automaticc, that kind of lock-in allows Automaticc to earn as much as they can, on every single website they host.

We recommend you get your website hosted an external place such as Hosting Forest & get your support through a service such as WP Buffs.

PHP, HTML, Javascript & CSS Help

Making code changes can be challenging if you’re not a developer, well even if you’re a developer it can be. Making changes to Javascript is simple because you can view the errors in your console.

Changing CSS & HTML isn’t that bad either, the worst that can happen is that your website looks weird & you’ll have to revert the changes you have made. That’s not too bad, at least not if you keep a backup.

Changing PHP is not exactly as safe, if you make an error, chances are that your website won’t be working at all until you fix it. Let’s pretend that you’re an average user and you go to appearance > Theme Editor and change something in functions.php and you accidentally make an error. That will result in your website crashing.

That means you can’t access your WordPress admin interface, you’ll then have to contact your hosting company to get access to the FTP details. After that you’ll need to download an FTP program such as Cyberduck or Filezilla. Log in with the FTP details & fix the typing error. Let’s be honest, that sucks!

Instead we recommend that you look up a service that can take care of these things for you, as mentioned throughout this article we recommend WP Buff or alternatively oDesk.
